MINISTRY TEAMS
Property and Management: Doug Wagoner reported on the maintenance done so far this fall. November 1 will be an all church clean up day. Work begins in the morning and is usually completed by noon. An architect has been contacted to suggest some options for long range building plans, including plans for an elevator.
Outreach: The Outreach team hosted a lunch for new members on October 19th.
Stewardship: All members will be contacted by telephone in the next few days to find out which consecration service they will be attending and to make reservations for brunch. Consecration Sunday is November 9th. The brunch is free but reservations are necessary as the meals are catered. The guest speaker will be Ron Hanson from Benson.
Fellowship: Winter family camp at GLBC will be February 13-15.
Worship & Music: Contemporary Services will continue on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 10:45 a.m. More musicians are always welcome.
Budget and Finance: Greg Wedin and the budget planning committee have come up with a tentative budget outline for 2009. Recognizing that the economy is currently in a state of flux, every attempt is being made to be responsible and conservative. The team will meet again November 13. There are synod guidelines regarding staff salaries and benefits that we try to follow and there are increases in energy costs and property maintenance that are unavoidable. The Council will review the proposals and finalize a budget before the end of this year.

The second projector costs approximately $5,000 and will be installed when the funds become available. The goal is to enhance the worship experience through the use of appropriate visual aids.
Next Council meeting will be Wednesday, November 19 at 8:00 p.m. M/S/C to adjourn. Closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
